Who We Are

SilkCat House is a private dining intelligence company. We provide guest relationship management and pre-arrival intelligence services to fine dining restaurants and restaurant operations worldwide.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data in connection with our platform and services. It applies to data relating to restaurant operators, their staff, and the guests whose data is processed on behalf of our partner restaurants.

What Data We Collect

We collect and process two categories of personal data. The first is operator data, which includes the names, email addresses, job titles, and contact details of restaurant staff who access the SilkCat House platform. This data is provided directly by partner operators during onboarding.

The second is guest data, which is provided to us by partner restaurants and may include guest names, contact details, dining preferences, dietary requirements, occasion history, language preferences, wine preferences, and notes relating to previous visits. We process this data solely for the purpose of delivering our service to the restaurant.

How We Use Personal Data

Operator data is used to manage platform access, deliver training and support, and communicate service updates. We do not use operator data for marketing purposes without explicit consent.

Guest data is used exclusively to generate pre-arrival briefings, occasion intelligence, wine pairing recommendations, and follow-up communications on behalf of the partner restaurant. We act only on instructions from the restaurant as data controller. We do not use guest data for any purpose beyond the agreed service delivery.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data to any third party. We do not share personal data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics companies. Guest data shared with us by partner restaurants remains the property of those restaurants and is never disclosed to other operators or third parties.

We may share data with carefully selected sub-processors who assist in delivering our service, including cloud infrastructure providers and AI model providers. All sub-processors are bound by data processing agreements that meet applicable legal standards.

Data Retention

We retain operator data for the duration of the partnership and for a period of two years following termination, unless a shorter period is required by law or requested by the operator.

Guest data is retained in accordance with the instructions of the partner restaurant as data controller. Upon termination of a partnership, all guest data is returned to the restaurant or securely deleted within thirty days, at the restaurant's election.

Security

We implement technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we process. These include encryption at rest and in transit, access controls limited to authorised personnel, and regular security reviews of our systems and sub-processors.

In the event of a data breach that affects personal data, we will notify affected parties and relevant supervisory authorities in accordance with our obligations under applicable data protection law.

Your Rights

Individuals whose personal data we process have rights under applicable data protection legislation, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. Where we act as a data processor on behalf of a restaurant, requests from guests should be directed to the restaurant in the first instance.
